theFIREbeam™ Self Aligning Beam Detector
Introducing "theFIREbeam™", a revolutionary reflective optical beam detector which can operate up to 100m and has been designed with the technician in mind. The detector has a unique motorised head that aligns itsself during commissioning and can automatically re-adjust in case of a change in alignment e.g. minor building movement. A low level controller allows commissioning, alignment, most adjustments & tests to be carried out from the ground, as well as displaying the unit`s status constantly. Due to the reflective design, wiring is required only at one end with a simple reflector array at the other. The innovative design offers a very low power consumption - theFIREbeam is compatible with most major fire panels and can often be zone or loop powered, eliminating the need for a separate power supply in many applications. The natural result of all of the above is a significant saving in cost and reliable operation over the life of the product.

theFIREbeam™ Self Aligning Beam Detector Key Features

· Low-level controller allows operation from the ground
· Motorised detector head self-aligns the beam
· Reflective design up to 100m reduces wiring
· Very low power consumption, just 3mA
· Fully complies with EN54 part 12
· Technician and user friendly
· Large, accessible, colour coded terminals
· "Micro beam" allows routing through more restricted locations
· Contamination compensation
· Head and controller moisture-proof to IP65

Control Features
Most activities are managed from the low level controller. Other than physical cleaning of the lenses and reflector, it is normally unnecessary to require access to the head itsself during routine maintenance and daily operation.

· Simple menu system operated via keypad
· Two-line LCD screen
· Automated commissioning process ensures the unit is precisely aligned
· Fully adjustable beam sensitivity between 25% - 50%
· Check status of contamination compensation to know when lenses need cleaning
· Adjustable delay time to fire and fault reduces unwanted alarms
· Latching and auto reset modes depending on connection and control panel type
· Beam can be switched off if necessary, eg during building work
· Self test mode can check the signal to the fire system operates correctly
· Event log records the number of fire and fault events
· In depth diagnostics facility
