Repair Service
With a continuous trading history dating back to the late 1800s, Tann Synchronome have produced a large number of products over the years. We have been manufacturing and distributing fire alarm systems since about 1962 and many of our panels are still in use today thanks to their reliability and durability. Obsolete and aging equipment does get replaced as sites are expanded or insurance/local authority requirements call for extra detection cover that the systems cannot cope with, however when things break down without warning, total re-fits are often not an option. Modern day replacements for obsolete equipment can be costly and disruptive if incompatible line devices and/or wiring also needs to be replaced, so Tann are happy to be able to offer a repair service for many of our discontinued systems, allowing you to get your system back up and running with the minimum of disruption and risk.

In order to support obsolete equipment, we have built up a collection of products and technical data which enable our skilled technicians to quckly diagnose and repair the fault in most situations. Where the damage is too widespread to allow an economical or practical repair, or where the replacement is urgently required to restore lost fire cover, in many cases we can supply complete, refurbished replacement boards. We often have boards avaliable in stock for several discontinued Tann systems including:

· Original 1978-1980s Firecheck Mk.I & Mk.II motherboard and zone cards.
· Firecheck 2000, 2, 4, 8 and 12 zone panels and zone cards.
· Multipac and Compact panels.
· Firecheck 3001 and 3006.
· CMS-3000 racks, zone, alarm and option cards.
· Power supply units.
· Vigilant panel boards, DUs and detectors.

We want your old fire alarms!
Ex-installation fire alarm panels and ancilliary equipment of all kinds are always of interest to us, especially Tann Synchronome products. We are able to refurbish old Tann equipment to enable the continued supply and repair capability of obsolete boards. As an incentive, we offer a credit of £40 for each working fire panel sent to us. If the panel is not commercially of value, it might still be of historical and technical interest. In that case we cannot offer much in the form of payment but can usually at least cover the shipping costs. Please contact us for more details.
