Tann Synchronome has a team of fully trained, experienced service and maintenance engineers. We have specialist knowledge of old and new Fire systems. Our wide range of expertise covers all buildings from schools and nursing homes to large corporate sites. In addition we offer service and maintenance on emergency lighting, nurse call systems and fire extinguishers so you can enjoy complete fire safety care under just one contract.

But what's the point in having a maintenance contract if it doesn't seem like there's anything wrong?
Without sufficient maintenance you won't know if there are problems. Like everything, your systems will deteriorate if they are neglected. Because of the life risk involved it is imperative that you are confident that your alarm system will function properly in the case of a fire, your emergency lights will illuminate in the case of a power failure and your call system will operate in an emergency. Preventative maintenance will keep the systems in good working order and may help you save money in the long term by spotting any problems early on.
Most insurers insist that the fire system is held under maintenance contract.

What exactly are the health and safety requirements?
The owner/employer has a duty of care under current legislation (BS5839 2002 for fire and BS5266 for emergency lighting) to carry out documented risk assessments for their premises. The standards recommend that there should be a complete fire & emergency lighting system functional test at least once a year. The usual number of maintenance visits is four, with the recommendation stating that there should be a minimum of two.
The number of visits is usually agreed via risk assessment and depends on the use and size of the premises. Tann Synchronome can offer free advice on this. Maintenance visits can be customised to suit the client.

I don't have a Service Contract, can I still make a call out?
Yes, Tann Synchronome engineers will be happy to attend any site for service, fault response, commissioning, etc.
We are also happy to give advice and help over the telephone, where possible, to help you avoid the cost of calling an engineer out to site.
There are no premium charges and no call centres.
